Long Trail House
The Long Trail House was Intrawest's first condo expansion at Stratton Mountain. These units were constructed in 1999 to 2000. They just completed a major facelift in 2007 and 2008, with new siding and windos.
It is a large complex of two buildings that have primarily studios, one bedroom and two bedroom units. There are a few three bedroom units on the top floors. The units are not large, and studios are 435 sq. ft., one bedrooms around 700 sq. ft. and two bedrooms around 1000 sq. ft. The location is just across the Stratton Access Road from the Village.
While they are now approaching 10 years of age, these units are favorites and requested by the same families year after year. A number of the units are on the "rental program" and starting to show their wear. However, a large number of units are "owner occupied" and upgraded and are great places to stay. They are favorites for people who want access to the Village and accommodations at a reasonible price. This is also the only place at Stratton to find a Studio room. They all have gas fireplaces and some have excellent decks and views. There are approximately 141 condos at Long Trail.
The units have convenient underground parking. A heated outdoor pool and three hot tubs provide plenty of space to relax on a cool fall night. They have a large hearth room, a library with a TV and an area to set up entertaiment or board room. There are common washer / dryers in a laundry room. Skis are left in the locker area, with ski lockers for guests and a private storage area for owners..
Because there is such a variety of units, the Long Trails rent from $300 to $700 per night holiday.
They are only a 10 minute walk across the access road to the lifts, including the time to collect your skis.
