Stratton Condos and Homes - Location Overview

Individual condominiums, townhouses and ski homes are located in five major catagories:

1. The Slopeside area, also called "mountainside", "ski-in", or "trailside".  This catagory is further subdivided into "Village", "Tamarack", "Wanderer" and "Sunbowl" areas.
2. The new Commons area, across the Stratton Access Road from the Village.
3. The Valley Side, near the Stratton Sports Center.
4. The Resort Area, off the Stratton Access Road (on the golf course or in private developments).
5. In the Surrounding Areas and Towns, including Strattonwald, Bear Creek, Bromley and Magic Mtn.

Lodging at Stratton is often provided by renting an individual condo or house, made available for a short term rental, by the owner.  Condos and homes can be rented through this website by using our Contact Us Form or by emailing us at strattoncondos@aol.com.

More Details About Condo Locations

Each area has its own advantages and disadvantages.  A further description about the condos.

1.  Slopeside Condos and Homes (also called "ski-in", "trailside" or "mountainside").    

• Village Area:  This group includes the mountainside condos within or walking distance to the village:
• Mountain Watch
• Village Watch,
• Landmark,
• Village Square,
• Mountain Reach and
• Mountain Ridge,

•  Tamarack Area:  This group includes the condos on the Tamarack Lift:
  • OberTal,
  • Slopeside at Stratton, 
  • Treetops
  • the new Tamarack Heights homes.

A number of these units provide direct ski-in, ski-out locations.  From many of them, depending on the specific unit, there is a short walk to the slope.  Some are also shuttle to the slope and ski home.  

• Wanderer Trail:
• Snowbridges, often called "The Bridges" 
• Mountain side homes, often with Wanderer Trail access, are located on West Ridge Road and Upper North Brookwood. Houses on Lower North Brookwood, West Ridge and West Branch Road are on the mountain side with shuttle access to the slopes.

• Sunbowl Area:
• Solstice is a beautiful community of private townhomes, the only complex at the Stratton Sunbowl.
   
  

2. Commons Area on the Valley Side of the Stratton Village.

This group includes all the condos and townhomes that are close to the Village that are on the valley side of the access road.  Some of them (such as the Long Trail Units) are a short walk across the Stratton Access Road to the slopes and the Village activities.  Some others have shuttles to the base area or are a longer walk, up a bunch of steps.  The Commons Area includes the

• Long Trail House,
• Rising Bear Lodge,
• Hearthstone Lodge and
• Founders Lodge
• Fox Chapel
• Village Chalets.

In this catagory we have also placed a number of homes on the Quarter Mile Road.   The Founders' Hill area is right below the chapel on the Founders Lodge.

3.  Valley or Sports Center Area.

This is a terrific valley location where it is easy to find a beautiful condo at a reasonable price.  It is just minutes to the Village.  Many have beautiful mountain views.  It is an easy walk to the Village in the summer, but we suggest the quick shuttle in the winter.  This area includes

• Stratton Springs,
• Styles Brook,
• Crown Point and
• Vantage Point condos.

4. Resort Area Condos - Intervale and Piper Ridge.

This group includes all the condos and homes in the Statton Mountain Resort area off the Stratton access road. Many of these condos, such as the Intervales and Piper Ridges, are large and in mountain woodland settings.

• On the left of the access road (as you are entering) are the Stocker / Stratton Acres homes.
• The Intervale townhomes are the first major area to the right by the first street light, about .8 miles up the access road.
• Also on the right are Stratton West and the Birch Hill coops.
• The next major development by the second street light is the Piper Ridge and Forest Farms homes off to the left on Upper Taylor Hill Road.
• As you reach the top of the hill, the beautiful High Meadows homes are to the left.
• The Fairway Meadows condos are also along the golf course.

5. Surrounding Area Condos.

This group includes the condos along Rt. 30. Many of these also have shuttle access to the slope. This area includes

• Bear Creek, south along Rt. 30.
• The homes in Winhall Hallow,
• Strattonwald and
• Stratton View are just north on Rt. 30.
• The condos at Bromley and Magic Mountain in this group.
