Stratton Winter Ski Events, US Open in March
There are a lot of activities around Stratton during the winter.
Stratton opens up Thanksgiving Weekend, and sometimes the weekend before. There is a great sale at the SMS school that weekend. Snow on Thanksgiving has bee great the past two years.
Christmas Week, New Year's Weekend, Martin Luther King Holiday, President's Week, the US Open and Easter are major winter ski events. But there are also the ski races, weekend sleigh rides, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and great dining now at Stratton. Check Stratton's List of Events for your specific weekend.
The US Open at Stratton is the last event in the Burton World tour. It is held all week in 2009 from the 16th of March on. To make reservations for this event, please Contact Us and book early.
Stratton's ski school is excellent with daily lessons for skiers and snowboarders. Please call early for children's ski school registration on holidays.
Services to Rent or Buy
To rent a place at Stratton Mountain, Vermont, you just need to contact us at strattoncondos@aol.com or contact an owner through our Owner-Direct link (set up by the fall of 2010). A lease agreement is set up and it is fairly simple. (For details, please see the How to Rent section.)
To buy a place, you need a realtor (or an owner contact), a local bank, a Vermont lawyer and then property insurance. We can also help you here. In the past, it has become difficult to find a place at Stratton, but with the 2009 environment, there are now more places for sale at a reasonible price.
