Bears at Stratton
The Black Bear is a symbol of Stratton Mountain. Everyone should get their picture taken in front of the wooden carved Black Bear at the top of Stratton Mountain. We have not seen any bears on the Stratton trails, but plenty of bear tracks in April.
Click the following link for General Information about Bears in Vermont. Or, click Data on the Stratton Bear Population or the picture for exact statistics on Strattons Bears. Everyone has to buy a Vermont Bear. Mary Meyers is just south of Stratton on Route 30. Vermont Teddy Bear has a great factory tour and is up North in Vermont. Our favorite is the mis-fit bear.
In this section, we will start to tell some Stratton Bear stories. If anyone has a true one, or a made up one, and would like to post it, let us know. Email us at strattoncondos@aol.com.
Note: This is a draft format to be expanded in 2009.
