The six ski academies in Vermont have helped students gain an excellent education and develop competitive skills in down hill, cross-country, mogul, freestyle, halfpipe and bordercross disciplines. They are all great places for an outstanding education.
Our favorite (of course) is the Stratton Mountain School (SMS). We know many of the students that go to the school, often ride up the lifts with them on the bitter cold mornings, and appreciate the dedicated commitment they have to winter sports and education.
Ross Powers (Halfpipe), Lindsey Jacobellis (Bordercross) and Kristin Luckenbill (Soccer) are just three Stratton Mountain School Olympians that come to mind. Then there are national heroes such as Andres Newell, a cross country winner, and the list goes on.
